At Harmony Estate Wineries of Leelanau, sustainability is not a trend—it’s our terroir. Guided by the rigorous standards of SIP Certification (Sustainability in Practice), we are deeply committed to farming and business practices that honor the interconnected health of People, Planet, and Prosperity. Across our estates—Bel Lago, Dune Bird, French Valley, and North Farm—we practice regenerative agriculture that goes far beyond the vineyard row.
Our approach includes edge farming to preserve wild habitat and foster biodiversity, and we proudly integrate animals like Scottish Highland cattle, who naturally manage pasture and fertilize the soil, and a cheerful team of Indian Runner ducks, who patrol the vines for pests without the need for synthetic chemicals. We build healthy soils with organic matter, maintain natural cover crops, conserve water through smart irrigation, and limit inputs through Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
